History

In 1967, with two small children and another on the way, George Agostini, working full-time in the family construction company, began Ocean State Janitorial Service, Inc. by purchasing some commercial cleaning equipment and various other supplies. Working on little sleep, George began cleaning his very first account at night. Quickly proving his ability to provide a high-quality service at reasonable prices, George quickly built a portfolio of cleaning contracts. Initially focused on the challenging cleaning of retail stores, George’s reputation quickly expanded and he and his well-supervised crews began servicing office buildings, private schools, and a variety of other buildings. By 1983, Ocean State Janitorial had grown to over 120 employees servicing 80 accounts.

In 1983, after receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Providence College, David began working alongside his father and assumed control of the company in 1985. David became Vice President from 1986 until 1992 when he assumed his present position as President and CEO. Since that time, David’s focus on quality, customer service, building relationships, exceeding customer expectations, training, response time, and supervision, has helped him grow the company to where it now services over 600 clients.

Seeing a lack of pride within the industry, David began the franchise division, Cleantech Services Inc. in 1995. Cleantech Services, Inc. provides our very best employees and other entrepreneurial individuals with the opportunity to partner with us to better serve our clients’ needs. Our family-owned business has helped dozens of entrepreneurial individuals establish and maintain their own successful cleaning franchise. Utilizing state of the art equipment in conjunction with our extensive training program, our franchisees are prepared and skilled at creating comprehensive cleaning programs to provide clean, healthy work environments to their clients.

Cleaning buildings at higher quality levels all the time and faster than competitors, having a sustained system of quality control and customer interaction, and treating customers like they are more important than anyone else, have been strong ingredients in becoming an outstanding service company. Insurance and Bonding

Cleantech Services Inc. is a fully insured and bonded corporation. For your protection, we carry the following:

General Liability:

We have a general liability policy in affect that includes $2,000,000 of general aggregate coverage and $1,000,000 per occurrence. Our $ 5,000,000 umbrella policy provides an even greater peace of mind to our clients.

Workers Compensation:

Our employees are covered by a $1,000,000 workers compensation policy.

Bonding:

All employees of Ocean State Janitorial are covered by a $50,000 janitorial bond.
